ebuild is sad to announce its closure - it has become too time and resource intensive to develop, manage and maintain.

However, ebuild will remain on-line in archive mode (ie no posting facilties) for several weeks so that users can use it as an information resource.

Welcome.

Excellent news. Hold on to that enthusiasm and energy. It's infectious. Yours made me smile this morning.

Lurk here, read here, ask here, giggle here, reply here. (Don't mind Joiner, he gets grumpy sometimes  )

But keep hold of that enthusiasm.

Welcome to the roller coaster ride that is self build.

Your are assured of frustration, irritation, extreme annoyance with the utility companies (and possibly the planners as well) but you are equally assured of support an help from here, even when all you want to do is bang your head on a wall.

The good news is that we have a few ICF builders, who can probably help a lot, as the collective knowledge here may well be greater than that in any single contractor.

Yes, a warm welcome.

We are building with ICF although I'm taking the easy option and have appointed a contractor who has used ICF over a number of years. We will be starting very soon and I'll be posting details on my blog as things progress.
