A quick query regarding steel barn conversions.
Has anyone had any experience of getting permission for this kind of thing?
The one I've seen is currently in equestrian use (so I don't think it comes under agricultural / PD) - but after some research online, I came across this, which may be comparable:
The barn in question is relatively new, and in decent condition. I'd imagine 90s construction, like the above link, and has recently had some more work done on it.
It's outside the development boundary, but various other stone-built barns in the vicinity have been converted. It has decent access by a road, and car parking etc.
Aside from the Permitted Development side of things (which I don't think this qualifies for) - does conversion of a steel barn differ from conversion of a stone barn in the eyes of planning laws / depts?
Many thanks in advance for any input.
Edit: link altered - the original one (at http://www.self-buil...vian-style-home ) is problematic according to Temp.
