ebuild is sad to announce its closure - it has become too time and resource intensive to develop, manage and maintain.

However, ebuild will remain on-line in archive mode (ie no posting facilties) for several weeks so that users can use it as an information resource.

another thing i have noticed is that only the GoPro got distorted by the weld. i can't imagine its a rolling shutter issue, but something is causing it to make lines across the screen similar to on drones when the blades create a shadow on the lens

both our other cameras just make a starry kind of flare around it. unless its because the GoPro was closer..............Interesting????

Is it a 50Hz flicker caused by either electric radiation or strobing?
I am not sure how many frames a second my cheap phone does, 30?

That is purely speculation.

I wonder what has happened to Ian, do you think he has welded his boots to his bench, or burnt is typing finger?

This is how not to do it, but it shows how easy it is to video, just a table, upturned flowerpot, a lump of slate and some masking take.

OK Steamy, you got me now. I'll have a bash at videoing my welding efforts.... and while I'm at it, doing some chainsaw milling and shake making.

My God what have I said.......

It might be fun to do some night welding. Not upset my neighbours for a while. :D

I used to weld in my old garage and apparently you could see the streetlights dim and flicker when I had the big welder on full chat....
