JSH, note that one of my single-room units is not completely balanced (by design, a slight net extract), the other is. I had to have it pointed out to me, and I'm entirely happy with a slight negative pressure to give my HRV a chance to extract heat from more of the air lost from the house, but just be aware...

I once made a judgement that it would be OK to put a batch of home brew near my bedroom to keep it from going too cold.

I went as far as working out a rough figure of the amount of co2 the yeast might produce and it not being a closed space and thought it would be fine. Took 2 bad nights sleep to move it and solve the problem.
