ebuild is sad to announce its closure - it has become too time and resource intensive to develop, manage and maintain.

However, ebuild will remain on-line in archive mode (ie no posting facilties) for several weeks so that users can use it as an information resource.

That said iv chosen today to start trying to set it up. so far i have managed to get a small red light to come on by connecting the white lead. :)

the ethernet has recognised it i think. and now we are here.

Now you make sure you have internet connection and then update and upgrade.

Go to the terminal window and type:

sudo apt-get update

once that is done

sudo apt-get upgrade

the sudo allows you to execute commands as the root user. So just saves you changing user.

There is a small programme called Upstart (apt-get upstart) that makes autobooting stuff really easy.
it is a case of RTFM though.

Im starting to remember why i dislike reading and writing code, oh the headaches.

finding the code to write gives me a headache,
finding the spelling mistakes in the code gives me a headache,
finding the places to find the information to find the code to give me a headache gives me a headache.
that thread is 8 pages long :o so it will have to wait until tomorrow....
