The engineer had designed a steel structure which allowed us to cut away most of rafters of the existing roof to allow us to do this. This then created a large point load which was to bear onto the girder trusses but seems it can't work. If we don't do this then I need to move everything over into the main bedroom which would then be too small. The only option I thought was to persuade my wife she doesn't need a walk in wardrobe and move the ensuite over to other side and just have normal built in wardrobes. This is a room in roof design which makes it a but trickier.
Anyone any ideas?
