obviously it will get a suitably taped plastic bag when i plan to leave it out :D

I like it, just need to make one for my DSLR and get something to press the trigger (can us the iR for that).

i was so smug when i thought of it :D it does exactly what i want and it has a power socket!
i need to try and find a way to allow the cable to twist really. it can only be 2 wires needed charge it. do they make a swivelling junction box for this kind of thing? they must do but i just don't know what there called??

Can't you stick a large disk on it, then put everything you need on that.

its only the battery i need to charge as just over 9k photos is more than enough photos for me atm :D

go pro batteries are rubbish even with the extra back pack

The simplest swivel is a 6.5mm jack and socket - just make sure you put it the right way up in the middle of whatever is swivelling so the socket doesn't fill with water !

would this handle charging a go pro? its just a USB 2 to mini USB cable?

also i did consider trying to make a russian style ring (3 interlocked rings). then i realised I'm not insane :D :D

Iv now got it charging the back pack through a 3.5mm jack and socks :D
I think I may have broken my goPro charging port :(
