ebuild is sad to announce its closure - it has become too time and resource intensive to develop, manage and maintain.

However, ebuild will remain on-line in archive mode (ie no posting facilties) for several weeks so that users can use it as an information resource.

I'm not sure how to embed this, but some greenies can be remarkably, outstandingly stupid.

It's the same mentality that demanded that 44p FiTs per unit be maintained, when the industry wanted a gradual reduction in line with cheaper technology.

Although I support their cause, can I just say what a LOUSY video, I could not bear to watch more than a few seconds.

Hard working families don't have time to get FIT.

Unbelievably dreadful video - there may be arguments for keeping FITs but this isn't one of them.

Never used to be this bad, although the language was fouler. Back in the day it was all down to illiteracy, although it still made more sense than some of it does now, thanks to tiny screens, predictive text and failure to proof read before posting. :(

Mind you, I also pick up sweet papers if I see them lying around. ;)

Predictive text is, in my experience, far worse than illiteracy.

That video is appalling, but is a typical mindless student output. They'll mature, eventually.

The UK is being gradually de-industrialized by successive governments pandering to morons like that.

Off topic

I was taught long ago that the boss of the house needs to be kept properly amused by the other occupants. By my cat.

On topic

10:10 did a little useful work in eg encouraging solar installations on schools, but they are part of the same mad protest spectrum as the likes of UK Uncut and those people who poured oil on the floor of the Tate because BP sponsor exhibitions.

They have appalling judgement. This was their launch video - with exploding heads and nastily authoritarian undertones.

A lot less offensive than the propaganda and misinformation that the local Green Peace hawker does down my way.
His latest claim to me was that 6 PV modules on the roof of their office could power the whole place. Would not even run a kettle.
