ebuild is sad to announce its closure - it has become too time and resource intensive to develop, manage and maintain.

Well I suppose the answer to that, at least for part L, is you aren't telling them how, you're telling them what they should build, in the sense of how performant the build must be.

That's pretty common in public sector intervention.
