We had fish and chips from the chippy at Trevaunance Cove a couple of weeks ago, and it was absolutely delicious.
Sarah, whereabouts are you doing your conversion? I know the area quite well, and my husband's surname is Godolphin... unfortunately ownership of the house is no longer in his family !!
We live in Camborne at the moment, not that I'm proud to say it...

Thankfully, wife No 2 (the present SWMBO) never went near Falmouth, she was a nurse at Treliske.
Interesting, I went the other way, used to live in Donhead St Mary (must be fairly close to where you are), you'd be amazed what went on there in the eighties, moved to Falmouth in 1990, then out here, twixt Cusgarne and Caharrack in 2008.

No 1 wife lived in Carharrack, in fact we were married in Gwennap church, just down the road from there. Her family were/are quite well known - the monument on top of Carn Brea is in their honour.
Donhead is abou 6 or 7 miles down the road from where we are building now in Fovant.
It's a small world, isn't it?
