ebuild is sad to announce its closure - it has become too time and resource intensive to develop, manage and maintain.

However, ebuild will remain on-line in archive mode (ie no posting facilties) for several weeks so that users can use it as an information resource.

I'll go second then

As one of the "old lags" here, you'll find us mostly in the flooring (wood) topics.
I'm Karin H, co-owner of Wood You Like Ltd, independent specialised retailer in the lovely village of Kent. Me and my partner originated from The Netherlands (where, if we'd stayed there to open a shop like we have, we would have been number 12 or 13 in our home town).

Don't install floors myself - my better half takes care of that - but am the "advice desk" for DIY-ers, architects and interior designers in most matters related to natural wooden flooring (and then some).
Based on all the Q & A's received over the years about installing floorboards the correct way, we grouped this together into a paperback manual last year. A second manual, focusing on design parquet is - still - in the pipe-line

Never built our own home, gutted and renovated one 22 years ago though (in The Netherlands, where rules, regulations and methods vary in many aspects from here).
