ebuild is sad to announce its closure - it has become too time and resource intensive to develop, manage and maintain.

However, ebuild will remain on-line in archive mode (ie no posting facilties) for several weeks so that users can use it as an information resource.

House Design Notes...again

Posted by caliwag , 10 February 2016 · 838 views

I just wanted to reiterate that the house design notes are still available, free on this site! Attached.
I mention a suitable reading list, which did exist and has been posted to one or two people: however it is a bit dated now and to be honest I've not
visited the RIBA bookshop for some time. I have posted blogs periodically on here as reviews of, in my opinion, the most useful books, both reference and totally unsexy, to outright coffee-table jobs!

There are few magazines, in the UK, on 'design', though there are a few good freebie websites...will post after this.

I still think Elle Decoration is an excellent resource for 'style' and 'styles' and decor/furniture outfits. To my mind, the continental ones, if available, are very good.

There are, of course, several monthly self-build mags available as you will have found...For beginners, Homebuilding and Renovating is supported by regional displays, talks and 'how-to' events...good stuff.

I still chuckle when I read this - it should be pinned at the top !
